Post 8: Changes to my Study Programm

I think that the students are important part of the decisions that take the authorities of the university. Only the students can talk about the quality of the education. The education not is only the lessons, is also the investigation, sports, discussion, democracy, friendships, in conclusion the life university.

I hope that the university can advance to a democracy with students, academics and workers. Today the University Senate is a space of democracy, but is necessary that it have more atribution in different areas, like representation percentage, in this moment of 36 members 27 are academics, 7 students and 2 workers of university, therefore it is necessary to increase the percentage of workers and students.

Other point is assigned more attribution that now has the University Council. 

I have personally participated in improvements and curricular reforms because I went President of Student Center, therefore I was can participated of spaces of negotiation. I have a opinion about buildings and infrastructure, use of technology, etc. But I think that the main change is have more democracy,

and that way everyone can give their opinion.

PD: I hope everyone votes in these FECh elections. 

 

Post 7: My Favorite TV show

Friends

I don't really watch TV that much, so I prefer talk about series. In my case, my favorite series is Friends, created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, which aired on NBC from Septembrer 22, 1994, to May 6, 2004, lasting ten seasons. The main actors were Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer.  

The plot of the story is based on a group of Friends and their relationship in the time. The interesting thing about Friends is the evolution of the characters, with incredible depth rarely seen in a series. It is not just their personal development like their work lives, love lives, family lives and friendships. But it is also how the interests of the group change, as a generation, wich allows a relationship with the viewer, where the series grows and evolves and so does the viewer. 

I think that spectator-series relationship is what captivates me, because you feel like you are part of the group, you know how they behave, all this accompanied by constant laugther, because it is a great comedy. Of all the characters, I love Phoebe <3

Post 6: Postgraduate Studies

Today I am studying with a grant a Magíster of Goviernment and Public Management at the University of Chile. The discipline that I study, allows to specialize in many areas. In the first place, I hope to deepen my general knowledge of the matter, to later dedicate myself to study about health policies. 

In the University of Chile I interested in the Magíster of Public Policy from Beaucheff, to innovate and make policy tools available to people. Also in the University of Chile the Faculty of Economy and Business there is a Magíster in Health Administration. 

I am internationally interested in sutides of Brazilian health policy for the implementation of a universal public health system. Also, the politics of Cuba that with few resources are capable achieving one of the best health systems of the world. While in Europe, France has one of the most intelligent and transparent systems.  

Today the postgraduate studies are important to learn tools that allow adapt to the speed with which society moves. 

Post 5: My Future Job

The job of my dreams is the that can achieve the greatest benefit in my environment. I try to think my job as a form of social relationship and not as something individual.

Of some I can be sure about my job and that is it will almost always be in an office. This doesn't affect me because I hope to enjoy life in any place.

I am student of public administration but I was always interested in the topic of health. I hope to help have a better system of health for all, a system that ensures the right to health with dignity.

First I hope to work in some hospital to know the reality of the health system. Then I hope to work at MINSAL to create policies at the national level.

Post 4: How green are you?

I think that the university is a place where not only learn academically. The University of Chile trains us in environment, politics, feminism, technology, etc. Personally it is the place where I have learned most about environment.

I am vegetarian a year ago, I think it is the best form to contribute to the world. The contamination by the meat meark is inmense, but not only for that, also for eggs, milk and other derived from animals. 

But, it is not enough with individual actions, is necesary public politics about environment, because the biggest pollutants are companies and states. The individual actions will not do if companies and states continue to polluting.

Post 3: A person I would like to meet is Diego Maradona

I read the post of teacher about Antonio Banderas and as she said, I hope maybe, just maybe, I get lucky enough and Diego Maradona gets in touch whit me. (If you want to read this post, you must play this song in the background)

In my case, Diego has a lot of meaning for me. The first reason, is for my father, since I was a child, he spoke to me of football, Maradona and Argentina. He is a fanatic of the culture of Argentina, at the end, my heart is in part "albiceleste". 

The second reason is for the history of Diego, I am fanatic of football, so how not to be the best player in history of football? Maradona is considered by many people the best player, especially for the world cup of Mexico 86, it is the moment of highest level seen in a player of football. 

Is impossible not consider the political context, beacuse it was in middle of War of the Malvinas between Argentina and Inglaterra. For Argentina this World Cup meant a lot, because the people had suffered enough. But the history of Maradona is special, Argentina had to play whit England in the quarterfinals. All the world, all the Argentina and all the Inglaterra fought for his honor, in a match that was not only a football match. It is the match when Maradona becomes in legend.

The first goal is of Maradona, know to the world as the "Hand of God", a goal that bothered all of England, and showed that in América Latina anything goes to win, anything goes to win the country whit they were in war. 

But, Maradona proved because is the best player in the history. It was not enough to convert a goal with the hand, but also he would the best goal in the history of football, acoording to FIFA. Finally Argentina won 2-0, later they would be the World Champion. 

For the people in Argentina that was revenge for the Malvinas, the best match of Maradona, the best match of a player in the history of football. 

But, Maradona is not just football, is also political. He is a humble person, he was a drug addict, but it's very easy criticize a Maradona, but it's very difficult to be Maradona. How said Manu Chao in a song in spanish: "Si yo fuera Maradona. Pero la vida es una tombola". Diego, is a communist person, he is a friend of Fidel, Hugo Chavéz, Cristina, Nicolás Maduro, etc. At the most difficult time, Fidel helped him in Cuba. Maradona never forget that. 

Maradona is resistance, bravery, talent, happiness, revolution. Maradona is América Latina. 

Post 2: The best concerts in my life

In the first place, I have to say I'm not big fan of the concerts, especially of the concerts of rock or metal. I prefer the big events with many artist and many styles of music. The best memory is in the events of the "Fonda Permanente" in the Club Hípico in Santiago. Maybe is beacause we are in quarantine, and this place is all we can't do now. Many people in the same place, jumping, singing and dancing together.

This memory is very important for my, especially I remember enjoying this concert with very important person for my life, because go to a place like that, then nothing better to be accompanied by big friends.

The music is very important for the human, because a concert means a step further, is share your hapinness at the same time with other persons, something I miss very much. I hope the time passes soon, to enjoy the best concerts of the life.

Post 1: The worst place I have been: Rancagua

I come from San Fernando, Sixth Region of O'higgins. Live in this Region has me allowed me to know many places. One of these places is Rancagua. I hope don´t offend a somes friends with I lived some moments in my life of the student. But Rancagua is ugly, very cold in the winter, very hot in the summer. This city is not very big, but nor very small. Now no rain, just like everbody cities of Chile. The moments I lived in Rancagua not very funny, because I haved go to early for study. Maybe this reason don´t allowed I feel love for city. This place is history for Chile, the big batlle of Rancagua is a important moment for the independence. But, maybe, when go to the time, somes things go to with it, because the beauty this city, not anymore. 

Sorry Rancagua. Thanks for so much, sorry for so litlle.

My name is Juan Cáceres and i come from San Fernando, sixth region of O'higgins. I am a public administration student at university of chile.

In my opinion, my strengths in English are perserverance and responsability, but on the other hand the verbal rules is very complicated for me.

Today I have time to learn english, despite quarentine, that, causes me lot stress. As soon as this pandemia over I want out for a long time.
